Scarlett contacted me just a few short days before her engagement session was suppose to take place, in a panic because she had scheduled hair + makeup and her photographer came down with the flu! I am so thankful we were able to make it work for the same time as her original date, especially because the weather was perfect!! A rare warm day in February (well, not rare this year - we have had a few!) and we took full advantage of it! When I first pulled up, I automatically fell in love with the location. A long dirt road with cows grazing everywhere and a beautiful country setting. How peaceful! There are so many special things about this location + they could not have picked a better spot for their engagement photos. It is where Scarlett grew up, where Davey's hunt club is and also where her and Davey's paths first crossed! He had been a member there for years & rumor has it Davey knew about Scarlett wayyyy before she knew about him ;) But somehow they had never met throughout all of those years up, until 2011 + have been in love since then! Such a sweet love story!! Davey was so go-with-the-flow (which ladies, we all know how guys can be about photos haha!) and Scarlett was a natural in front of the camera. The chemistry between these two is like no other and I love that so many of the images they are both laughing and having a good time with each other. You could feel their love radiating!! We had a great time!!
