I am announcing something so exciting today, that has been pretty heavy on my heart lately!! I have always pushed to be a wedding photographer. My heart loves LOVE and celebrating that on a wedding day makes me the happiest photographer in the world! Sharing the joy, excitement, tears, nervousness, the love that radiates on a wedding day - there is little that compares to that. Or so I thought until recently...
I have always shot lifestyle (maternity, newborn, family) here and there but never really "pushed it" too terribly. Still something I enjoyed but I just assumed you had to specialize in ONE main category and stick with that as a photographer. Having a family of my own, I know how important it is to document each step in life so it made me a little sad to not offer it quite as often as I would have liked to... but I was WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
You know what is even better than sharing all of the wonderfulness and emotions that happen on a wedding day??? Sharing all of the wonderful things that happen AFTER the wedding! Following that client through anniversaries, pregnancy announcements, maternity sessions, newborn session, family session. That my friends, is the very best. I never realized just how amazing it is until recently to follow my bride + grooms through each journey of their life; celebrating and being there to document each step for them - preserving those important memories the same as we did for their wedding day!!
